We are seeking an Applications Business Analyst II/III to join the staff at our Carney’s Point, New Jersey location.
Level II: Performs assignments of IT business analyst in support of SAP software and its interfaces to other systems. Expectations require application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related IT business analyst tasks in the Plant Maintenance functional areas within SAP. Works with other team members and business process owner(s) to determine system requirements and prepare functional specifications. Validates system functionality by executing test plans and documenting results. Develops user documentation and assists with application training. Serves as a liaison between end-users and corporate service providers.
Level III: Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard Information Technology business analyst techniques, procedures, and criteria in support of SAP software using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications. Expectations require application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related IT business analyst elementary tasks in the Plant Maintenance functional areas within SAP. Works closely with other team members and business process owner(s) to determine system requirements and prepare functional specifications. Validates system functionality by executing test plans and documenting results. Develops user documentation and conducts application training. Serves as a liaison between end-users and corporate service providers.
This posting is for a position that will be filled at the Applications Business Analyst II or Applications Business Analyst III level. Those candidates who meet the minimum requirements for the II or the III positions will be interviewed. The most qualified candidate, from either level, II or III, based on the Structured Interview, will be hired.
Applications Business Analyst II
Required:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related field, OR equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
· Basic knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance to include:
o Using SAP tools to perform simple configuration;
o Using simple reporting tools for completing report requests, verifying data, etc.;
o Performing testing associated with configuration/development changes, software updates and upgrades, auditing, etc.
OR
· Basic understanding of business processes in Plant Maintenance AND basic experience demonstrating skill using SAP.
· Experience demonstrating skill developing technical and/or business documentation.
· Experience demonstrating skill using PC-based word processing, spreadsheet, and e-mail software.
· Ability and willingness to work extended hours or overtime as required.
· Ability and willingness to travel to various company locations and work sites.
· Must successfully pass a Criminal History Records Check.
Preferred:
· Experience demonstrating skill serving as a liaison between business operations and corporate IT service providers and/or identifying customer needs.
· Experience demonstrating skill participating on project teams, completing tasks as directed.
· Experience demonstrating skill providing user application training and/or orienting users to systems.
· Experience demonstrating skill using PC-based presentation, project management, flow charting, and/or database software.
Applications Business Analyst III
Required:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related field, OR equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
· Working knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance, to include:
o Using SAP tools to perform configuration (e.g., system-delivered reporting tools for completing report requests, verifying data, etc.);
o Performing testing associated with configuration/development changes, software updates and upgrades, auditing, etc.;
o Using SAP On-line Support Service to report problems, look for SAP-delivered solutions to system problems, etc.; and,
o Understanding impacts of working in an SAP environment (i.e., integration between modules).
OR
· Advanced understanding of business processes in Plant Maintenance AND experience demonstrating skill beyond entry level using SAP.
· Experience demonstrating skill developing multiple types of technical and/or business documentation such as business processes, application security, control procedures, testing operations, conversion plans, functional specifications, and/or report formats.
· Experience demonstrating skill using PC-based word processing, spreadsheet, and e-mail software.
· Experience demonstrating ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Ability and willingness to work extended hours or overtime as required.
· Ability and willingness to travel to various company locations and work sites.
· Must successfully pass a Criminal History Records Check.
Preferred:
· Working knowledge and understanding of IT business processes, to include:
o Gathering business requirements and document business processes and/or configurations;
o Translating customer needs into functional requirement documents;
Determining system requirements; and,
o Understanding system development life cycles.
· Experience demonstrating skill participating on project teams, to include employing project management skills such as organizing, planning, and executing small-scale projects.
· Experience demonstrating skill developing and conducting training presentations and developing supporting training materials.
· Experience demonstrating skill using PC-based presentation, project management, flow charting, and/or database software.
