Job Description: Role: SAP Technical Lead
Overview:
Resource will lead both internal and external resources, coordinating delivery activity across other business and IT teams in the company. The candidate will participate in the investigation, design, build, test and deployment of technical solutions that need to interact with a custom SAP industry template.
Specific duties include:
- Design and development of interfaces to custom SAP industry template.
- Coordinate design and development with other development teams (e.g. eClass, SCORE Content Manager, and Security)
- Lead design and development of implementations/customizations of SAP (MM/IM/PP-PI/PM) and it’s interactions with legacy systems.
- Application configuration and customization
- Data migration and conversion
- Work with the Enterprise architecture, Infrastructure, Basis and Security teams and provide input from Custom Development perspective
- Interface design and programming
- Application deployment, including system cutover, troubleshooting, and knowledge acquisition to help in the ongoing support.
- Collaborate and benchmark with integration partner and other quality team on defects, technical issues, and future system functionality and capabilities
Successful candidates will meet a combination of the following criteria:
- ABAP and Java expertise. Actual development using these languages in the past 6 months – enterprise type applications.
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of the Basis aspects of complex SAP environments and integration with other platforms and technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage medium to large IT/business projects and programs through all phases of the project life cycle, including 3rd party resources.
- Participated in two or more full project life cycle implementations of various SAP modules.
- Demonstrated skills and proficiency of the SAP Netweaver environment with SAP ECC, MM, PP-PI, PM and QM
- Extensive hands on exposure to SAP environment planning, monitoring, and optimization tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to present complex information in a clear and structured way; ability to work at all levels in the organization (end users to executives, IT and business).
- Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science, with a focus on business applications and Information Technology. Advanced degree is preferred. Minimum of 10 years in an SAP environment, including 5+ years of technical team lead experience.
