This note describes a new conversion rule which is based on two main principles:
1. 1 year = 365 days
2. Leap day is not taken into account
As consequences, the operation " add duration to a date" has the following result with our new conversion rule:
28.02.2003 (0:00am) + 2 days = 02.03.2003 (0am or 01.03.2003 12:00pm)
28.02.2004 (0:00am) + 2 days = 02.03.2004 (0am or 01.03.2004 12:00pm)
As consequences, the operation " calculate duration of a period" has the following result with our new conversion rule:
28.02.2003 (0:00am) - 01.03.2003 (12:00pm) = 2 days
28.02.2004 (0:00am) - 01.03.2004 (12:00pm) = 2 days
