Difference between rz10 and rz11 tcode

Updated May 18, 2018

Both RZ10 and RZ11 perform similar tasks, such as permitting the users to modify their profile parameter values.

However, when using RZ11, the change is only provisional and the previous values can be restored, once the system/instance restarts (Some refer this as a dynamic change).

With RZ10 the change is perpetual and would not restore the previous value even when the system restarts. (Some refer this as a static change)

It is to be noted, that all profile parameters does not permit the user to make dynamic changes.

The same can be verified on the RZ11 screen for the check box against 'Dynamically Switchable'.

rz10: Need restart to get effect permanently into system.

rz11: After restart it will come to default value.
