Project Overview
Working with Business to enhance the Processes used to Manage New Product Introduction processes
• Demand Management – Determination of the configurations and quantities needed to meet project release milestones.
• Material Planning – Provide advanced visibility into the build cycles and get a jump on the material procurement process to enable business to meet quick turn cycles.
• Procurement Process – Communication with Subcontractors on the configurations to be built and subsequent management of those activities
• Logistics and Fulfillment – Tracking the units built and details of configuration (Serial numbers and component data) and the delivery of the finished product to the proper requestors
Business Process Re-design – Reviewing existing processes used to get the work done today and working closely with business on process and system designs that will increase efficiency and productivity of everyone involved. Previous IT focus was on streamlining Production activities.. now we have been tasked to review the NPI activity. Key is we are Looking for Business Process Knowledge in the areas of
• BOM Processing
• Master Scheduling / MRP
• Procurement processing (Subcontracting, Component Material Procurement)
• Logistics Processing (Material Movements (GR/GI/STO), Serialization, Classification)
• Extensive experience with SAP PS module (WBS, Networks, Approvals, Project Versions, Time-fences, Project Planning, Budgeting) and integration with Materials planning and Costing.
Skill Sets
• System Architecture – Be able to work closely with business, understand requirements and then provide them with proposed process and system solutions to meet their needs
• Documentation / communication – Need to be able to clearly describe verbally and in documentation the proposals. Expected to take a lead role in facilitating discussions during requirements gathering as well as selling the solution.
• SAP Knowledge – Primary knowledge has to be around MM and PP functionality. Reviewing Project systems as a possible solution so some exposure to PS would be a bonus. Key SAP Areas
• Material Master Setup
• BOM Setup
• Subcontract Management
• MRP
• Basic Inventory Functions (Goods Receipts, Goods Issues, Stock Transports)
Specific Activities where resource will be engaged during Project
1. Phase 1 Commitments
• Helping to complete design
• Helping to complete Functional Spec Design
• Interacting with Developers to complete coding
• Execution of Unit Testing
• Coordination with Business on UAT Activity
• Training Activity
• Support of ATP Process for Planned and Purchase Orders
• Post Go-Live support during stabilization
2. Deferred Activity (Future Phases)
• Design Process to model Turnkey Component Stock process with subcons
• B2B Model interfaces with Subcon’s to gather Build status data
• Serialization and Classification Setup to replace 3rd Party ‘Asset Tracking’ system
• Interfaces to SFDC to Auto-Create Chip Requests
• Multiple Reporting Requirements that will arise (On-Line Queries, Dashboards, etc..)
• DM and Job Tracking system enhancements (Features not rolled out during initial Phase. Includes closer integration with BOM’s, Allocation Data and integration to automate logistics functions for issuing and tracking inventory)

Required Skills/Qualifications:
• BA/BS degree
• Minimum 3-4 years of SAP R/3 (4.6 C to ECC 6.0) experience focused on the MM & PP modules in SAP. Experience in WM module is an added advantage.
• Strong MM and PP configuration and technical skills
• Integration experience with 3rd party applications and SAP portals
• EDI/ALE/IDoc, Workflow and Web Dynpro usage experience
• Change Control and Release Management Experience
• Daily Global Production Support Experience
• Practical SCM functional/business knowledge and experience
• SAP R/3 implementation experience with complex global logistics covering contract manufacturing, goods movements among third party distribution centers, reverse logistics, quality management
• B2B/XI integration with suppliers/vendors, companies, plants and suppliers
• SAP R/3 implementation experience in procure to pay functionality for both direct materials and services
• SAP R/3 implementation experience with discrete production orders and all master data related activities associated with production orders
• SAP ABAP Query knowledge
• Strong proven project management experience and skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong collaborative work experience
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Action oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills
• User management and training experience
Preferred Skills/Qualifications

• MBA/MS degree
• Semiconductor industry experience, including the “fabless” business model
• Experience with subcontracting manufacturing processes
• Experience with Serus BOM Maintenance application
• Experience in SAP BW/BI system
• System knowledge on Planning activities including APO
• SAP ECC 6.0 experience
