Q 1. What does Energy Integration Architecture (EIA) comprise?
A. EIA comprises three components; descriptions of the components are listed below.
FDC Loader Application - Interfaces production field data which is already cross-referenced and translated to SAP codes and values from external partner systems to the SAP PRA Production application area.
Ownership Batchload Application - Uploads ownership entities that are already cross-referenced and translated to SAP codes and values from Oracle database staging tables to the SAP PRA Ownership application area
BizTalk-Based XML Interface for the Ownership Application Area - Provides a BizTalk-based XML interface with request-response messaging for the interface of ownership data from external partner systems synchronously.

Q 2. For what release is EIA available?
A. EIA is available only for release 4.6C.
Q 3. How can I avoid conflicts when installing SAP PRA Interface 1.0 fixes?
A. There are different sets of procedures required when importing (1) upgrades and patches for the SAP Business Connector, (2) a client-executable patch, and (3) a DLL (dynamic link library).

Q4. Are there any functional or technical limitations regarding the use of PRA interfaces?
A. Yes. For information about the functional and technical limitations of the PRA interfaces, contact SAP and/or refer to the EIA release note, which can be accessed from within your SAP system under Help -> Release notes. At the resulting Find Release Notes screen, choose Complete list from Rel. 4.0. At the Complete list from Rel. 4.0 screen, choose Release notes as at 46C. At the resulting Display Structure screen, choose component IS-OIL-PRA-EIA-EIA.
Q5. How are SAP PRA interfaces delivered?
A. The middleware components are shipped separately as part of a delivery kit CD. Information about the CD follows.
