Q 2. What file storage and clean up features are available in Royalty Reporting?
A. There is a system table delivered with the Production and Revenue Accounting solution with three file clean-up methods assigned as required for various PRA files. Descriptions of the three methods follow.
- Delete intermediate files immediately - When this method is used, the system deletes files immediately and reports cannot be reviewed.
- Store temporarily in the file system - When this method is used, users can review files for a limited period of time before they are deleted. They can also print and download the files until they are deleted.
- Store permanently in the file system - When this method is used, the system stores the files in the database, and users can print and download the files.
Users should execute file clean-up regularly to ensure good system performance. Users can execute file clean-up from the Report Execution transaction (Logistics -> Production and Revenue Accounting-> Production, Tax and Royalty Reporting -> Royalty Reporting -> Old Royalty Reporting -> Submit Royalty Reports) by choosing the Purge Temporary Files button on the initial screen of the transaction.
