Position Title: Federal SAP Technical Specialist

Organization: Application Outsourcing

Location: Battle Creek, MI

 

The Health & Public Service operating group serves health organizations, government agencies, institutions and nonprofit organizations worldwide providing a broad range of consulting, technology, system integration and business processing services.

 

People within the Client Operations-Application Outsourcing (AO) workgroup are responsible for the day-to-day provision of long-term outsourcing services to one or several clients. Client Operations is where the majority of Services people reside and, typically, people in the workgroup are based permanently at a client location.

Job Description:

 

The SAP Technical System Specialist is responsible for analysis, design, and testing of components of the SAP (ECC 6.0). The System Specialist is involved in maintenance, enhancement and/or development work of SAP modules and those that interface with other applications.  The System Specialist has a range of skills and knowledge of the technologies used and applications supported by Client Service Teams. The System Specialist is required to participate in pager/on-call support. The System Specialist reports to the Client Service Team Manager.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Work with Client, Accenture, and Teaming Partner team members to gather and interpret functional user/system requirements into technical design specifications
  • Assists team members in completing their work and acquiring skills in their assigned Work with Client, Accenture, and Teaming Partner team members and executives on and across the project team.
  • Accountable for ongoing maintenance of effective client service relationship in one area of the business, by acting as first point of contact for client representatives
  • Plan and execute all required process steps as defined in our methodologies.
  • Lead and/or provide SAP application development support in assigned areas.
  • Analyze, design, code and test break/fix requests and enhancements to SAP modules.
  • Develop technical system specifications for SAP components.
  • Design SAP components to technical programming standards.
  • Lead and/or provide primary support toward installation of application releases into production.
  • Coordinate and participate in structured peer reviews / walkthroughs.
  • Create operational documentation for the SAP application.
  • Meet service commitments for assigned deliverables and proactively provide work status.
  • Continuously develop industry knowledge and associated skills.
  • Coordinate work with other Systems Specialists across teams.
  • Organize and prepare own and team's work effectively to facilitate proactive resolution of problems.
  • Accountable for results of team efforts by maintaining workplans and project status to meet quality standards and deadlines
  • Provide input to assist in determining level of work effort for assigned activities
  • Assist the Client Service Team Manager in monitoring budget by providing estimated-time-to-complete (ETC) and actuals for assigned tasks.
  • Anticipate, identify, track and resolve issues and risks affecting the application.
  • May support career development (e.g. coaching, training, etc.) for team members. 
  • May include providing performance feedback for all assigned Accenture, Subcontractor, and Teaming Partner team members
