Forecast on Sub Assemblies and Consumption of Forecast from Orders of fg

hi all,

my subcontractor is using SAP. As of today, i m providing forecast on finished goods however they are not very accurate. We have may versions of finsihed goods however the main difference between them is a specific label we purchase.

One idea i have it to provide forecast on semi finished goods (finished goods with the label) and to procure the label outside mrp or maybe using reorder point according min max defined qties.

According my subcontractor, if he enter forecast on the semi finished goods, when we place order of finished goods, the order will not comsume the forecast but just be added to forecast needs.

Do you have a solution so that the forecast on the semi finished are consumed when we place order of finished goods ? Do you have any suggestion ?
