As of SAP ECC 5.00 (SAP_APPL 500), you can use the new General Ledger Accounting instead of the classic General Ledger Accounting. The new General Ledger Accounting contains the entire functional range of the classic General Ledger Accounting.
In addition, it offers support for the following requests:
- Parallel Accounting
- Legal and Management reporting
- Segment reporting
- Cost of sales Accounting
