Release/Transport Analyst - SAP
The purpose of this role is to manage the change process and SAP transports for all SAP quality assurance (QA) systems and coordinate SAP production releases with Global Change Management.
• Ensure the integrity of SAP production support, and production environments through the implementation and management of processes and procedures for the approval of change requests through the SAP production landscape. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Leading the change request review process and all associated communications and controls;
• Performing quality checks on adherence to the requirements of the production Change Control process.
• Ensure the integrity of the SAP release development environments through the implementation and management of processes and procedures for the movement of transports through the SAP release management landscape.
• Leading the transport/change migration process and all associated communications and controls;
• Performing quality checks to validate adherence to release management change migration process.
• Review, monitor and reevaluate change control and release control processes as the SAP landscape evolves
• Recommend and implement the best practices/efficient processes for the management of change migration to both the production and release environments.
• Support implementation / utilization of CHaRM. (20%)
• Work to ensure SAP service deliveries are aligned to LS&Co's overall change control process.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 4 years IT experience as an IT analyst or consultant with knowledge and experience related to IT Change Control Management
• Minimum 2 years experience hands on working with SAP, including functional and technical experience
• Demonstrated experience with SAP transport process and functions
Additional Qualifications
• Extensive knowledge of the SAP suite of applications and SAP tools and methods; Solution Manager and CHaRM a plus
• Demonstrated facilitation and presentation skills working with cross-functional technical teams
• Thorough knowledge of systems development lifecycle methods, processes and industry best practices Strong analytical, planning, and problem solving capabilities
• Skilled in proactive and reactive responsiveness to identify and manage situations or concerns that may adversely affect service delivery
• Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
