How can we determine whether the current kernel is IA32bit or x64 bit?

Hi

The OS is Windows Server 2003 Standard x64 edition.

The SAP kernel path is E:\usr\sap\SMN\SYS\exe\uc\NTI386.

How can we determine whether the current kernel is IA32bit or x64 bit?

For windows its a simple step to follow as below.

From start > Run > execute "winmsd" which will open a window for you. There you can check the hardware architechture details.

This is always the preferred way to check.

x86 - 32 bit
x64 - 64 bit
IA64 - 64 bit
IA32 - 32 bit (rare)
