Why do I need a Certificate as a Technical Consultant for an SAP R/3 System?
SAP offers experienced consultants the opportunity to obtain recognition of their SAP R/3 System knowledge by taking a Certification Test for SAP Technical Consultants.The Certificate provides customers with assurance that the consultant has passed the Project know-how which is required to successfully implement an SAP R/3 System for customers.
Consultants certified as an Technical Consultant for SAP are integrated in a tightly-knit information network with SAP, yielding greater quality and more up-to-date knowledge to benefit customers.
Who can participate in the Technical Consultant Certification Program?
The Technical Consultant Certification Program is open to all SAP Partners and Customers. SAP Subsidiaries may limit the participation of Independents or ask for additional documentation to be provided based on local regulations.
Which areas can I be tested in?
SAP offers initial Certification Tests for Technical Consultants which are spitted into three parts or modules:
- R/3 Basis (Release dependent) plus Workplace (Release dependent)
- Operating systems (Microsoft Windows NT, UNIX)
- Database systems (Oracle, Informix, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2/400, IBM DB2 UDB, IBM DB2/390)
The operating systems and database systems areas test only aspects related to R/3. However, basic platform -specific background information is assumed as it is essential for the technical operation of R/3.
